But stnadards are changing. I remember a call to a radio newsroom I was working in (back in the '70s...yes...the '70s)by a woman angry at our airborne traffic reporter for calling the traffic situation at a particular intersection "screwed up." My how times have changed. |

Would it have been okay if the interviewee had said "freakin'" instead of "friggin'?" Or, if the reporter had said it instead of the interviewee? What special inplication have we assigned to the verb to frig?Are reporters and interviewees just trying to stir up trouble, or is the real culprit the indeterminate status of frig and freak? Do any of us fokkers really know what we're doing?!
