KWTX and Rusty have all of a sudden in the past few weeks started playing 'chicken little' like 25's John Bash'em used to do. He's been on in the evenings with storms 3 hours from Waco, putting up those tracker box things that tell us the storms will be here at 2:30, then 3:00, then who knows when. Then when/if they finally do get here, he's never around. Thanks for interrupting Letterman to tell me that Stephenville has thundershowers!! What happened to old calm, trustworthy Rusty? Has he gotten 'rusty' over the years? TXers, has their been some mandate from on high to scare us that storms are coming? At least when the other guys at 6 and 25 cut in, there are actually storms in the area. |

Rusty covered those storms because they looked nasty at the time, a tornado watch had been issued, and they were headed towards the heart of the viewing area. By the time they got here, they had died down to nothing but a hard rain. Thus, no reason to cut in. Also, you didn't miss any Letterman because Rusty only took time out of commercial breaks.
