Newzermom -- if you want to say quality is nonexistent because management is trying to cover its a-- in areas like demographics and diversity -- you are making an error.
There are plenty of experienced journalists out of work or looking for new positions who are not being considered, overlooked for the younger inexperienced lot.
Do not say this is because of diversity, because it is not. I know many intelligent news veterans who managers dont want hire.
It is not the fault of diversity and to say it is, is offensive. |

you wanted to. The post said budget as well as demographic and diversity hires. Budget means how much you pay the employees, i.e. cheaper hires. They both come into play when judging the current state of tv news.
Try reading the whole piece.
