who understands. It's a tough crowd here :)
The thing that grabs my attention is that it's ok to copy stories from News 8, but not consider the station something worth following. We work hard and have people 20 times better than the affiliates. Every shop has people who have no business in TV. We could name names but that's tacky. For a station that hasn't been around but 5 or 6 years, I think it's done pretty good holding its own, especially considering how long the local oldies have been around. |

boy, your tone has changed. Earlier, News8 was neck and neck..

"used to sell the extended-basic cable package" ...sound familiar?
it's the same idea watchingandlaughing just posted, but that you disagreed with earlier.(although I'm not as complimenting)
You're a 'feature' that helps sell cable.
It's all about logistics... they're not in News8's favor, they're not supposed to be.
News8 does a good job with what they've got, you guys work hard, no one has said different, you guys break a story every once in a while, no one has said different.
but a 'significant' effect on Austin News coverage? I don't know about that one.
p.s. Why has News8 began carrying a load of national/world news in the past few years?
Who's influencing who?
