because management is trying to cover it's a-- in too many different ways, like demographics and diversity, budget etc. The last thing they look at is product. The word quality simply doesn't exist in the majority of newsrooms today. |

Newzermom -- if you want to say quality is nonexistent because management is trying to cover its a-- in areas like demographics and diversity -- you are making an error.
There are plenty of experienced journalists out of work or looking for new positions who are not being considered, overlooked for the younger inexperienced lot.
Do not say this is because of diversity, because it is not. I know many intelligent news veterans who managers dont want hire.
It is not the fault of diversity and to say it is, is offensive.
