In Reply To: The parents of the 29 vicitms listed on the police list of Missing and Murdered Cases in Atlanta have re-united and are about to raise hell with city, county and state law enforcement officials. None of the Atlanta media has touched this story yet. But several national news organizations are on to it. The parents want closure. They have long felt that Wayne Williams had nothing to do with the murders of their children. The parents think that the cops and FBI covered up the cases and have ignored their doubts.
Message: In my church, last Sunday, the pastor delivered a stirring sermon on the refusal of Atlanta's black community to accept the conviction of Wayne Williams and the police's closing of 22 other of the missing and murdered cases. My pastor equated Wayne Williams to Nelson Mandela and his long, painful political imprisonment in South Africa. Everywhere you go in the black community these day, people are talking about these cases and the need to re-open all of them. It's not going away, that's for sure.
