was produced by a local company from Indianapolis. They were hired by the Speedway to do the broadcast on ABC.
I don't know why they would hire a local company but it telecast reflected it...it looked like a local broadcast.
Wait all day for the cars to start and when they finally begin to pull away and they go to a taped piece from a driver in a helicopter?

IMS Productions.Same group that has done the 500 for years did it this year.IMS is owned by the speedway(Tony George)and does the 500 every year.
I thought the broadcast was for the most part awful.
There is a rumour that there was actually 33 cars in the race,not just Danica Patrick.
The helicopter tour with Dario Franchitti was terrible.Obviously they hired people that have no experience producing auto racing.Motorsports are quite different from other type evnts,and working on soccer doesn't prepare you for it at all.
