Topic Name: ABC, No HD for the Indy 500? Message Name: The 500... Date Posted: 05/31/2005 Message: was produced by a local company from Indianapolis. They were hired by the Speedway to do the broadcast on ABC. I don't know why they would hire a local company but it telecast reflected it...it looked like a local broadcast. Wait all day for the cars to start and when they finally begin to pull away and they go to a taped piece from a driver in a helicopter? Jim McKay was missed on this one.
