In Reply To: Calm down, sport. Not saying Bell County and Ft Hood aren't important. But you're an AUSTIN news outlet, not a WACO one. Those viewers only count in the Waco Temple Killeen market -- the other Austin stations aren't competiting for them. And honestly, no one in Waco considers News 8 competition. In fact if you ask most people in Bell County what News 8 is, they'll you WFAA out of Dallas, which has been on cable up there for years. Like I said, stick to Austin news.
Message: here's where i found the number(updated this month) http://www.oraclepeoplesoftinsider.com/163105853 p.s. Cox cable owns most of williamson county, and Grande Communications pushes nothwest, then there's dish network, etc. Still think News8 can be seen in 600,000 households? The whole DMA only has about 870,000. "News8 Bell County" --it does have a ring to it. Look.. I like News8, but you guys just don't have the logistical presence to compete right now. **NOTICE** I've never disrespected the product this whole exchange.
