The website isn't updated (assuming that's where you got the numbers.) It was 300,000 households at launch in 1999. It's doubled since. Killeen, Ft. Hood and the rest of Bell County have been added. News 8 has two bureaus (more than anyone else). The last go round of awards, News 8 GOT MORE THAN ANY OTHER STATION IN TOWN, except KVUE. It's on everywhere, (ex. ABIA). It's a bigger influence on local TV than affiliates like to admit. Breaking news and weather when it happens, not hours later or a 1 minute cut-in. Watch anynight to see stories you'll see next week, even MONTHS later on other stations. |

Um.. who cares if you reach Bell County? that's in the waco market, not austin.
besides all the waco stations have bureaus in killeen so you're never going to beat them up there.
