You know..these parents act like the world revolves around them.
I've seen parents use up sick days because they have a sick kid, not because they themselves are sick. This is a total abuse of what sick days are meant for.
But I call in sick and I get read the riot act by the assignment desk. If it's a parent, it's fine but if it's a single, it's not.
And the notion that we do the work left behind by parents who have to leave. What crap.
In short, the idea that YOUR time is more valuable than mine because you have kids, is debasing, insulting and narcisscistic.
So get over yourself. I'm not paying for the fact that you decided to pop out a rugrat. |

1. if a parent calls in sick because their kid is sick, IT IS NOT AN ABUSE OF SICK DAYS! Who else is going to take your damn kid to the doctor?
2. if you actually get read the riot act for calling in sick, you must have abused it in the past. otherwise, no one gives you shit about it.
3. a parent's time is not always more valuable than yours. but...kids can't fend for themselves, and sometimes the parent just HAS TO BE THERE. you can't compare that to picking up a friend at the airport, or feeding your cat/dog, etc. MOST OF THE TIME, WHAT THE PARENT HAS TO DO IS UNAVOIDABLE. of course it can be abused, but these people are in the minority.
By the way, i'm aware of all of this, AND I DON'T HAVE KIDS! Get you head out of your ass and stop whining and sounding ignorant.
