In Reply To: take all this passion and venom and use it for one goal..and the goal is to put as much childish, mindless programming on television as there are hours in the day!!!
Message: ...post because I won't pay for this site. So if I'm off topic here, I apoligize. If it has to do with the number of calls made as votes to AI -- remember, some people call *multiple times. Can't believe that many INDIVIDUALS actually voted. As for the person who says we're more interested in running stories on the dangers of our pets vs. how many troops died in Iraq on a given day -- Running the death toll in Iraq is a double-edged sword. You have the rabid conservatives who DON'T WANT the dead mentioned or shown because it's unpatriotic, underminds morale, focuses only on the "bad" part of war. Those who want more info on those who die -- unless their from your local area, where do you get the info? It's not like the military is timely with the info (granted, they have to inform family first -- still hard to get what you need). And let's face it, unless you have a family member serving, after awhile, people become numb to the war news. They gloss over it. Should it be that way? No. But people start concentrating on their own lives, jobs, families and yes, killer pets.
