How come the Atlanta Journal has never gone after Lee P. Brown, former Atlanta and New York City Police Commissioner and Mayor of Houston? It was Brown, in his haste to dispose of the 29 Missing and Murdered Cases, closed out 22 additional cases, blaming them on Wayne Williams. This was the day after Williams was convicted, in 1982 of killing Jimmy Ray Payne and Nathaniel Cater.
Brown has never answered for his illogical actions. Seems that the Atlanta Journal gives Brown and other Atlanta leaders free passes on this. |

still goes around boasting that, after all of these years, she's managed to keep the Wayne Williams case "shut down." Monica once told me; "We don't need to bringin' up all that trash again."
