WKYC had a bad book, mornings used to compete for first place..now third. 6pm down (is Dr. Phil fading?)!!pm wins despite NBC fading. Demos may be old (lots of Law & Order)
WEWS had a good book. Growth in the morning and victories at 5 & 6pm. If ABC continues to turn it around, they might compete at 11pm, but right now they are dead last.
WJW had good and bad news. Mornings back on top and 10pm beats the 11pm's to win late news. Did not skip a beat replacing Tim & Wilma with the very solid and likeable Bill & Stacey. Idol was huge, but not a lead-in except for last night of the book. (10pm news averaged a 20.1 HH rating !!!) Trouble at 5 & 6pm but demos could still be OK..always are.
WOIO. another bad book. 11pm was second place (third overall late news) but they did not hold viewers as well as previous books. (stunts are getting old and repetitive) Mornings and afternoon shows were awful. Viewers have seen the act and are not responding. |

Steve Doerr has been there for a couple of years now and except for a naked anchor stunt, hasn't really turned anything around.
Is it time for him to bail before he gets the blame for this not working?
Can't imagine that his ultimate goal is this UHF station in market 16.
My guess, he's hunting for a bigger gig or a GM job somewhere.
