Coming to a TV in PDX this fall.
Rausch tries the early show.
a 4:30 newscast. What, is this for the unemployed who hate Oprah?
It's never worked before, but what the hell, give a guy credit for trying something different. They told him helicopters were no big deal in the 90's.
And Carl Click gets to anchor in the AM again. Joining the foxy Helen Raptis in the fall at KATU.
If you dont know, Carl had 20 some years with 8 and he got bumped from his long time morning slot to make room for the KGW EP's husband, Russ Lewis. No offense Russ, but you could put a blow-up doll next to Brenda Braxton and pull the same numbers.
Hey, if I could get a blow up doll that looked like Brenda that would be cool.
Carl sucked it up and anchored the weekend shift and reported during the week.
Never bitched.
Mike Rausch gets kudos for saving Carl. He takes care of people he thinks can do the job. I think he is the best ND in town. The ninja ND.
Poor Steve Dunn looks so tired and bored.
God I wish Rausch could get Tracy Barry for a couple years at KATU.
And whats the deal with Ackerman? What is he going to do? Other interests?
By the way, KATU weekend AM sucks. KGW scores with Kelly Love replacement John Becker. He is Joe Donlon's mini-me. Nice to have some testosterone in the morning.
That Becker will be anchoring in a top ten market in 10 years. For that matter his older brother Joe Becker should be in the big time too.
KOIN really blows. I really feel bad for the good folks there. But thats another thread.
Its good to see KPTV doing well AM and PM. Maybe they can paint their vans next year.
And hey what about that Kayanne Lewis making ND in somewhere else far away. Cool.

June is hooker heaven in Portland. Lets see who else gets the bone before September.
