In Reply To: by a landslide. when did hiring fresh out of college or novices become an agressive trait? just because someone has a big concept doesn't mean it manifests itself in practice when you have mediocrity at the core. when you look at the product, the talent, and the context, there's no denying that kfsn is untouchable. and the next runner up is miles away.
Message: I'd like to know how you know that a station has 'mediocrity at the core'. Do you work there? Do you know the staff? The Managers? 30 has the whistles and the bells, but does that make them better? I think not. Can you tell just by watching a station? Not entirely. KFSN is not 'untouchable' as you say. Without that Oprah lead-in for 5 and 6, one has to wonder what those numbers would be. 30 is slick, has a good set and the toys, but they are NOT untouchable. No one is. I don't care who you are, never quit looking over your shoulder. That's Broadcasting 101. Market conditions right now may not be right for a early evening ranking change, but those 'miles', could become inches one day soon.
