Message: Today, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution published two articles on the re-opening of six of the 29 so-called "Atlanta Missing and Murdered Cases." But, once again, the newspaper, owned by the powerful and politically connected Cox Family, has ignorned the facts of this monumental case. In questioning the condition and preservation of blood stains taken from Wayne Williams station wagon and linked to vicitm William Barrett, the newspaper omits an important, exculpatory fact; William Barrett never bled. This 17-year old was strangled, then stabbed post-mortem. Two renowned forensic experts have gone on record stating that it is impossible for a victim to bleed, externally, from post-mortem inflicted wounds. Williams was blamed for Barrett's murder. Secondly, Joseph Drolet, a former assistant D-A who helped prosecute Wayne Williams, is quoted as saying; "there is no reason to re-open the cases. This isn't a blood and hair case, it's a fiber case." What the AJC doesn't report is; what is contained in a one hour Court-TV documentary which re-aired two weeks ago. In it, the FBI's former Chief Fiber Expert, Dr. Harold Deadman, admits, on camera, that he wrongfully linked fibers taken from the trunk of a '79Ford LTD to three victims who's murders were blamed on Williams. FACT: That Ford LTD was NEVER in the possession of Wayne Williams or his family during the time those victims disappeared and were found murdered. How about that for starters..on the need to re-open these cases?
