I truly feel sorry for the reporter in question...sure he made a pretty huge jump in market size...but his racial background should not be the main focus of this post. This is why it's so hard to be a minority...everyone judges you by your skin color, not your talent. White guys have been getting jobs and educational opportunities they didn't always deserve for years (President Bush ring a bell?)...now minorities get a little help and everyone cries foul. This very post is the main reason why this country still needs affirmative action... |

This is a prime example of why affirmative action doesn't work because it rewards nothing but color and has nothing to do with skills and in fact, then discriminates against those who aren't a protected class.
He is in because of color and no other reason. Those with a supreme skill set that aren't a protected class get screwed because of a quota.
