I graduated from the University of GA's Broadcasting school -- and my college cable station was in direct competition each night with the ATL stations, and Ch. 32 in Tacoa. That station might possibly be the worst thing I've ever seen hit the airwaves. It's DMA is decieving. I wouldn't even go there for my first job out of school. Not the place you can learn and grow if you want to be on air. No real competition, NO NEWS! I don't know what you're after, but I'd say don't waste your time... get to a station where you can take something you've learned with you when you move on... unfortunately, that won't happen in tacoa. |

I thought it had improved. Its definitely small market. The 1990 population of Toccoa is about 9000. They probably have some antiquated equipment there. But there's a real nice lake nearby if you like boating.
