I work in a station in a top 50 market where people get promoted from our sister station that would be considered market 200 if it were its own market. So hearing about this is nothing new to me. I have mixed emotions about people making such a big jump in this business--more times than not it doesn't work out because the people are not seasoned enough and emotionally ready to work around people with much more savvy and smarts in bigger markets. Not to sound negative, but let's face it...but the reality is in this day and age if you're a minority and have the talent, you can pretty much write your own ticket. |

#1. Being a minority does NOT allow you to write your own ticket...look at the very talented minorities(as well as other races) who never make it into big markets. Sweetheart, get a clue.
#2. Just because you are in a top 50 does NOT mean you are MORE SAVVY or SMARTER, darlin'. I'm in a top 5...some of the people I work with are simply stupid, or at least do stupid things.
#3. Honey, you are JEALOUS of this guy and that's sad. Maybe you should invest more time honing YOUR skills and honestly TRY to become the "solid pro" you apparently are aspiring to be.
