Thanks everyone for the 411. I apreciate it.
Just a question for "chasethe sun" ... what system does the station have? The way stories are planned and assigned to talent? It sounds like they're organized, why would it become a problem?
As for Jim Rogers, is he that involved with the newsroom? ... I know he is trying to gro Sunbelt and works out of the Vegas station, but wouldn't think he would be that involved with the on-air product. As for management, what are they like to work for? What do they look for in talent? |

Dear Baby:
If your grandma or grandpa lived with you and your parents wouldn't that drive your folks nuts after a while?
Like your grandparents or mine, Jim Rogers has deep respect and proven success for his children (station) but a wacko ways to show it. He owns the station, he get's to do what he wants. Get the drift?
I'm only assuming you are new to Broadcasting and have never worked for a single owner shop.
Sunbelt/Jim Rogers is a part of Las Vegas and his reach is felt in every department.
His reach in the community is also invaluable.
But with that reach comes hyper critical decisions and other bothersome behavior.
I hopes this helps you, Vegasbaby1?
