I know people who have worked with her down in Miami. Rachel is a very good writer who was approached about doing some TV.
She's EXTREMELY unnatural because she hasn't done this before. It's like taking a young college kid from the BEND, OREGON market and sticking them on ESPN.
I'm not a big fan of hers but try listening to what she's saying rather than how she's saying it. She really does know her sports. |

I heard she's Dianne Sawyer's daughter-in-law. Dianne works for ABC. ABC is owned by Disney. Disney owns ESPN.
And lets be honest, all sports writers are jealous of TV guys. The successful ones (Kornheiser, Wilbon, Albom) get TV jobs.
Rachel's mother-in-law got her the break she needed.
