are you serious? what collapse are you talking about? and how little do you know what Casey really did around the station? while he indeed was a part of the 11 p.m. Mon-Fri, he was in no way "indispensable" or "effective". His antics, as you have called them, far outweigh any positive, long-term influence he could have had. |

He *was* effective and indispensable at the station and nightside weekdays. I totally disagree with the posters who are slamming him. I wonder if anyone of them actually worked with the man? I did, and I can say he was a breath of fresh air to the newsroom. He pushed for different stories, stories you probably wouldn't have seen on air before him, and he was a hell of a writer! Sure, sometimes his humor could be a bit crude, but who in a newsroom isn't guilty of that at times? I miss working with Casey and I know he'll land on his feet somewhere.
