having drinks with other tv folks the other day and at one of the stations in the Denver market apparently the anchors are made to sit at their desks until 10:15pm so their shift is finished. Otherwise they are "stealing from the company". Also was told the EP would hide in her car in the parking area and write down names of people who left early. |

when we signed up, and agreed to accept the company's money every payday, we sorta agreed to show up on time and do the job weve been hired to do..i don't see why anybody has any kind of problem with that concept..over all the years i've been in this businsess, i've usually found management to be pretty damned flexible about hours..leaving a little early ONCE THE JOB IS DONE..and you've offered to help anyone else who might need it..as i said previously.. it ain't a 40-hour-a-week job, and never has been..i dunno about the rest of you, but i've got a pager on one hip and a cell phone on the other.. i'm on call 24/7/365..it's just the way it is..
