Take away KTRK's best night |

At the end of February sweeps and during one breaking news story (I think it was the plant explosion), McDaniel wrote that KHOU is the most watched 10pm news in Houston, dethroning Ch 13. I understand Lonestarloa and tightwriter's concerns, but take it on the whole. His information is pretty accurate (I do have a concern with the word "rebound", but it could be argued that they rebounded from poor February numbers as oppose to "last year").
In light of all this, ch 13 is in a precarious position. Sundays and Fridays are the only nights they won consistently at 10pm. Two nights out of seven is not good. Management needs to fix the Monday through Friday problem. Moving around producers is not the answer (S.B., we know you were upset about being moved to the 11am, but you know you're much better than M.O. and J.N. However, you need to work on being more professional). Plus, with the 4pm giving you a good lead-in (although not compared to Oprah), why can't KTRK's 5pm be more competitive? KHOU dropped from Oprah's lead-in most of the time and still won.
Does McDaniel have a buddy at ch 13? Probably, but it's interesting that both KHOU and the Chronicle are owned by Belo.
One more question: should Gina Gaston be worrried about Ilona? The lounge is buzzing.

which is sunday and take away Khou's best night which is Monday (csi) and here's what you get:
KTRK 9.3
Khou 9.0
Why can't you khou boosters just take it like a man. KHOU had the best lead-in average and couldn't hold it. KTRK and KPRC have to get viewers to cross-over at 10pm, all KHOU has to do is hold the ones they have and they can't do it. Quit crying about desperate housewives and ask yourself a question. Why do people leave us when the news comes on and go to KPRC and KTRK?
by the way, KTRK beating KHOU 10.1 to a 9.6 is not "by a hair"
