I live in sunny CA. It is warm and perfect all the time. But in a few weeks I am taking a job up north where it snows and gets below 32 degress most of the winter.
I've never lived anywhere where it snowed or got cold. What do I need to know to prepare for the drastic change?
If you made the move from a warm climate to cold ... I'd love some advice. |

in many ways, although like most things, just how much it effects you is entirely up to you.
Many years ago I moved to a northeast city from Houston, having lived in San Antonio before that.
I learned how to ski and bought a winter coat because I didn't even own one.
Here's the odd thing: when I lived in the warm climate, I never really appreciated the nice days anything like I do now. Now, the summers are cooler and the autumns are sensational. Take a quick, or extended vacation in warm weather if you can to recharge, and you'll find the most important thing is that if you like your job and have a happy family life, the weather is something you'll adjust to.
