If you expect the numbers to grow in less than several years, you're fooling yourself and are not being realistic. When you make major changes on an anchor team, good or bad, expect it to take at least a couple of years to grow the audience. |

...on this Board??? It certainly appears that the mere mention of WUSA brings out everyone with an opinion of that operation!
Whether intended as "sincere" opinions, or as tongue in cheek postings (a la "Beltway Bandido"), there is a very basic disconnect and denial of reality contained in all of "truthordare1111" declarations urging "patience" and promising improvements over time.
Specifically, the disconnect is found in the undeniable fact that WJLA has shown stellar growth, with major changes on its anchor team (i.e., market legends cast off to the wind by WUSA GM Darryll Green). Indeed, stellar growth not in the "years" that "truthordare1111" claims is required, but in a matter of mere months.
Maybe "truthordare1111," just maybe, WUSA is a mess because no one running the place knows their proverbial you know whats from their elbows when it comes to a competent broadcast news operation?
Keep on rocking everyone.
