In Reply To: Layer your clothing! Layers are the most important thing you need to know about living in cold weather! Because even though you freeze your tush off outside, it will be 80 inside the office. (It's just like living in a warm climate -- you sweat buckets outside & freeze inside). Also if you're outdoors reporting, make sure you keep your extremeties warm. If you do that, you'll be less likely to get those chills you just can't shake! Invest in a good warm hat, gloves & most importantly, boots! You'll miss that 70 degree day in November, but you'll be surprised at how quickly you'll adapt to the colder weather. Good Luck & stay warm!
Message: Your gonna hate yourself. The cold sucks no matter how you put it. I'm a former SoCal native and the cold, wet, and all the b.s. that comes with it is for losers. But you know what? you'll figure that out when winter hits. Guess there's no substitute for the real experience. Yeah, you'll like snow angels and a white Christmas is novel, but believe me, the rest of the time simply blows...
