Can somebody please explain Jeff Zucker's meteoric rise to the top of NBC and his uncanny staying power? Yes, I know he was successful as EP at Today, but since when does that make someone fit to run the whole network? And just look what has happened on his watch. The peacock's primetime ratings have fallen off the map and the news division is taking it's hits too with GMA catching Today.
So please just tell me what Zucker has done to deserve his current position and even more, how he continues to hold on to it considering his failures? |

Right place, right time and one success. That's all it takes.
But as the Peacock's ratings feathers continue to ruffle, so will Jeff's security. The cyclicality of this business almost demands that NBC "take a rest" and when it does, watch Bob Wright make a move on Zucker. Not if, just when.
