Managers find out. In one case, the ND came in and was sitting at the anchor's desk when she arrived.
She got the message.
By the way, it does make a difference when it comes time to deciding things like work assignments and pay increases. |

1--I hate clock watchers--you "hall monitors" need to get a life. If you have so much extra time on your hands to notice who's coming in when...you need more work to do.
2--No manager in this business has ANY RIGHT to complain when someone comes in a few minutes late, considering EVERY manager in this business just ASSUMES we'll all stay late for live shots, work extra shifts in "severe weather (complete joke), or work weekends when we're on call. Bottom line--they don't give a damn about our time why should we care about theirs?
3--This is why when you're done--you're done. Go home! Enjoy the days you're done early.
