Okay don't slap me for this one.. because I know special screenings of movies are available to the media so they can write reviews. But how often does a NewsPath AP (or any other AP for that matter) get invited to those screenings? Like a lot of field producers or APs, that person probably showed up for work and was told to cover the premiere. Pre-screenings are usually reserved for entertainment reporters and producers (sometimes) only.
So here's the question: If it was a premiere, how was you average, ordinary AP supposed to have already seen it?
Don't say rent the original, because new movies are meant to be updated and different. Thus, the question about Reynolds' role in this movie, as opposed to the original.
Just trying to be fair. If you know the FACTS that can answer the question, I'd love to hear them. |

Clips and snynopses and lists of stars have been all over the internet and news feeds for weeks. There is probably a web site too. Five minutes of research would have avoided an ugly situation. Or, ask one of the older guys in the newsroom, usually a photographer or editor....somewhere, there was some institutional memory, maybe the guy or woman sitting next to this kid.
