Funny you should mention how WBTV will exploit the numbers...
if you're not sure, just open your Charlotte Observer this morning and see that HUGE ad with the 11pm crew smiling back at you. They did wait around.
(Of course, this is the station that put the same size ad of Bob Knowles in the Observer the day he died -- when they knew he was fading fast -- nice "exploitation" there.. and don't forget the news director who ordered everyone to do their "Bob is dead" teases and opens for the morning show -- before he had even died. Good thing for that ND, Bob knew when to pass on cue....)
That said, I'm glad someone has finally shaken WSOC off its throne. Let's see what this does to the market. I suspect WSOC's 11pm producer, however, will soon be doing the noon show. |

I decided that from some of your other posts. This one is mean spirited and not accurate. Dragging Bob Knowles into the conversation is silly. I'm sorry you're so disappointed that WBTV scored a win. I guess you felt you had to lash out and you chose a cheap and thoughtless way to do it. I was at WBTV during the time of Bob's death and I know you are wrong. Get a life.
