Burt was way out of line.
You don't slap a person - it was a stranger, not Dom Deluise. It was more than a playful slap. The producer should have cracked Burt back.
All the guy asked Reynolds was to "tell us about your role" in the movie. He's there to give Burt and his shitty remake some press coverage. Though the producer WAS unprepared, many on the red carpet had not seen the movie.
There's no insight to be gained by "seeing the whole interview." It lasted just a minute.
And when Burt said "get together later," his joke meant they would get togteher to fight, not to see the film.
Burt's always been a jackass. Now he's just an old and irrelevant one. Wake up people. |

I don't care if I personally like them or care for their work. When you interview someone of stature, be prepared and give them respect.
The little dweeb doing the interview sounded like he didn't even know their was an original.
Reynolds finished the interview. He shoulda slapped the dweeb and walked away.
