There has been substantial progress at the bargaining table. Both sides are now working on a suitable financial package.
However, patience among the troops has run out. Comp time is a big issue for the on-air staffers. The off-air staffers want more than a 2 percent raise.
CBS was supposed to come back with its financial proposal by Monday. AFTRA is still waiting. Right now the negotiating team is trying to keep the staffers from walking out the door. |

And will be on-air if KYW should strike. How funny would it be if the ratings actually went up with the Miami folks producing and anchoring the shows?
