The station has a look of solo musicians not an orchastra.
Some anchors use that faux newswriting style "this just in" reporter X "working the phones right now" "hey guys this will scare the bejesus out of you".
While others use a standard less hyped delivery.
On air look is forced and not real.
Blame producers? Perhaps. But in a newsroom with no leader individuals tend to do what they want.
I suspect the station has a weak desk which results in fewer stories and almost no real exclusives. I see too many school and healthcare features. The stories simply have no edge.
Bogus hyped writing does not improve a sows' ear. |

don't think so.
stations with 1.3 ratings aren't pioneers.
yes, the desk is extremely weak.
yes, they have the worst reporters in the market.
yes, the anchor hires have failed---1.3 ratings.
yes, the newscasts have boring, non-news stories.
yes, the producers put together shows that resemble market 100.
call it like it is.
they're in big big trouble.
