In Reply To: ESPECIALLY on a morning show?..just about every morning show i've seen in the last.. god knows HOW many years..is more or less formatted for some light stuff..i hope you're not at a station that tries to emphasize hard news in the mornings.. it just don't work, folks..i'd say laugh it up and don't worry about it..
Message: I work at a station that has a "serious" morning format. No time for smiles and lightness. The bosses say that this is what people want judging by research. Anway, Thanks Truthteller. You completely understood where I was coming from. I don't consider those of us on the team to be unprofessional...just human. And I want to prepare myself as best as possible from a moment that could potentially harm my credibility and career. Focusing on that "tunnel vision" gives me something to really consider when that next "unpredictable funny moment" happens. The floor director is not a clumsy guy...but it HAS happened in the past. It was just an example.
