"flight leader" must be leading the same flight that landed in Roswell, NM years ago.
Why would Kaufmann and Belcher lobby management? On who's behalf? There is NO ONE remaining with Atl PD or Fulton DA's office that originally worked these cases. WSB currently has anything BUT a cozy relationship with these two agencies.
What is this evidence they are "ignoring?" I was at the DeKalb Chief's news conference in which he admitted "no new evidence has come forward leading to the re-opening of these cases."
I know for a fact Kaufmann repeatedly called the news desk and asked that a crew be rushed over to V-103 radio to grab interviews with Chief Graham and family members of the victims. If she's been lobbying management to ignore this story, she did a crappy job on the day we did redundant "Triple-Team" coverage on the day of the news conference.
Like I predicted, this story has already faded from the news, because there is simply NOTHING to report. A year from now, there will be a two-paragraph line in the AJC saying the cold-case squad is moving on to something else, either because they ran out of leads to chase or because the wacky county CEO has bounced another Police Chief from his post. |

UgottaBkiddin: There's plenty to report on in the "Missing and Murdered" cases. The problem is; the Atlanta Media doesn't do enterprise reporting, especially in regard to this story. There is so much new, exculpatory evidence on Wayne Williams, which has been known for YEARS, that the Atlanta Media has never touched. Now, DNA testing is in the works which might, at the very least, prove that those blood stains, allegedly taken from the back of Williams' station wagon, DON'T belong to victim William Barrett. Because Barrett NEVER bled!
But that didn't stop Lee P. Brown from blaming Barrett's death of Williams, along with 21 others following Williams conviction of killing two men. NO, YOU'VE gottaBkiddin!
