Ted may not have said publically during the 90s he wanted a buyer for CNN, but why would he? That would have undermined his bargaining position. Better to look strong, like a predator hungry to buy other media organizations, rather than weak, like one waiting to be gobbled up. You draw a better price that way. If you look at the decisions made all the way up to the AOL purchase, it looks rather obvious where Ted was going with it. |

now all you have to do is get rid of the conspiracy theory on ted wanting to "look like a preditor"
maybe you should talk to all the lawyers at nbc and cbs and abc who were hired to fend ted off
