Assistant News Director
CBS 46 is seeking an experienced Assistant News Director. This aggressive and highly motivated individual will work closely with the News Director to develop strategies and execute our local news product. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of television news operations and fundamental knowledge of production techniques. Knowledge of budgets, staffing, scheduling and broadcast legal knowledge are essential. Minimum of three to five years management experience in television news. Ability to motivate and supervise others. Must have strong verbal and written skills in outlining assignments and direction of stories. A strong producing background is preferred. Able to organize the workflow and prioritize constantly, changing coverage. Able to make decisions quickly and accurately capable of dealing with pressure while meeting daily deadlines. Computer literate, INews proficiency a plus. A four year college degree in Journalism or the equivalent experience in broadcast journalism.

How about the fact that the guy hasn't been a news director in - oh - about 6 years. He's been a MAGID consultant and a sales person for CNN. Wait - there IS that weather company he owns with his "wife."
