Which part of the history is wrong? And as for your comment about "stars" being part of the tv news biz, you're missing the point entirely. CNN was created as a round-the-clock alternative to the conventional tv news biz, and through its first decade and up through the first Gulf War, that's more or less what it was. Then, it became the very thing it was meant to be an alternative to. Reed Reese Schonfeld's book, "Me & Ted Against the World."
