5, 6, and 11pm producers are among the worst in the market at 9snooze.
check out the awful writing, show stacking, teases, etc...
if they produced a compelling newscast, the shows wouldn't get the 1.3 rating.

the 11pm- 16 rating lead in
newscast drops to 5

As we take a look at WUSA and compare it with the other tv stations, I'm not sure how anyone can point blame to the producers.
I'll cleary say, I'm not on the "inside" of any of the tv stations.
However, just as a "WashDcViewer," I can see how resources are deployed at the different tv stations. Fox 5 has many more live shots and reporters than WUSA. The same goes for the other stations. As a viewer, it seems like the producers don't have much to work with.
Again, from a viewer standpoint, I think the writing is crisp and clear at 6 and 11pm. The 7pm is good too...the 5pm could use some work.
Let's not talk about what may or may not happen. Let's just wait and see...why post rumors? If anything, let's post facts! Yes, it is a fact that the ratings are tanking. However, it is rumor to attribute that to producers. MOST of us have no idea of what is going on in the inside. Perhaps those on the inside could shed a bit more light on things.
In terms of their new look, we think they have a great look with the set. The graphics could use more work. They could probably lay off on some of the shots of the sets after a segment, but hey...I guess they want to show off their new set and they're proud of it.
WUSA has always been a pioneer in this market and they still are. At the same time, they have much catching up to do in regaining viewers.
Now that they have put the resources in the set, maybe they can put resources in other areas....we'll see.
