I am extremely blessed to be able to write for the shows. In fact, a story I wrote aired the first day with little revision. I have each story edited by a producer and receive feedback. One other question, since I am at the station full time each day (and have time when there is nothing to write), what should I be doing so that I show them I am truly committed and motivated? |

Ask if there is anything else that you can do. People love that.
Also use the time to learn about other areas and from those people too: the assignment desk, editors, photographers, reporters, etc.
Not only will you make more friends and contacts, but you'll learn what others do to contribute to the news department.
