if this is half as destructive as you claim, one of three things will happen:
1) co-anchor puts a stop to it
2) more employees notice it and eventually management does too
3) infatuated producer will eventually flame out in failure
if you really want to take immediate action, pull the co-anchor aside and talk about it.
and for someone who refuses to "become the read-counting anchor," it sure sounds like you've become just that. |

Sounds like the hostility of the preceding post is unnecessary. Based on the situation decribed in the original post, it sounds like there might be an actual problem. It happens.
If talking to the co-anchor doesn't work, talk to the ND. Explain your concern. Do it calmly and rationally. Use concrete examples, not anecdotes. Then get out of the way and let him/her handle it.
