Any idea what the ballpark figure is for news writers in the New York market? |

Go to www.nabetlocal11.org
Click on "contracts" then click on "NBC" Scroll down to section "N" which is the New York newswriters contract.
Then click on the section for wage scales. Divide the weekly number by 5. There's your day rate. And it will be similar elsewhere (in NY elsewhere is Writers Guild, Newspaper Guild, or non-union)
