still the same old miami if it bleeds...sweeps stories?

WTVJ is hurting themselves when they say breaking news on a story that is hours old.
Remember, the viewers aren't stupid... THEY SEE THROUGH THE B.S.!
Viewers don't like to be teased anyway ... or see what's coming up in a little annoying bugs while a story is on the air.
That shows a desperate attempt to keep them there... and viewers roll their eyes and tune out in disgust.
All of the stations in Miami do it... and it's a disgrace.
Viewers sense that all we really want is that coveted rating point that's why...
YES, THAT'S WHY THEY HAVE LOST TRUST IN US.
I'm getting annoyed at some of the tactics to get viewers to watch... sometimes it's downright embarrassing.
I believe in constantly re-inventing the medium... I like change, but sadly we are
serving frozen food that is microwaved instead of making something from scratch and
serving it with pride.
If we don't get back to
issue oriented reporting, I'm afraid we'll lose more younger viewers who already think what he put out there is crap anyway.
I have kids and they're saying
"Is this for real?"
It's just a matter of time before the curtain comes down on
local news.
Producers, News Directors and all upper management everywhere call a truce!
Sign a pact where we can clean up our act together, and compete for quality local news with value.
We are lacking VALUE...
We're great in breaking news... but we have let our viewers down on day to day reporting and meaningful content.
