In Reply To: First of all, I agree with you- Lou wouldn't be so stupid. Having said that, do you mean that stupid mistakes are tolerated by "well liked" people? I'm just trying to figure out if "zero tolerance" for upsetting the FCC really means zero tolerance. Certainly, mistakes happen, and the FCC wouldn't come down hard for an honest (yet stupid) mistake. Therefore, WCBS must've wanted this guy outta there and this was a handy excuse.
Message: that's what i'm saying stupid mistakes are always more tolerated when made by people who are liked. human nature and the way business works. also factor in history, job performance, etc. when you make enemies, whether you're a PA or the CEO, any mistake will be used against you.
