Topic Name: Britney & Kevin Message Name: More distinctions Date Posted: 05/23/2005 Message: The way I understand it, white trash and redneck are states of mind and race, not states of socioeconomic status, necessarily. As normanmaine said, redneck comes with a racist nuance. White trash comes with a dumber nuance. I mean, Britney went for the Oscar Meyer weiner, not the filet mignon, even though she could afford the better cut of meat, if you catch my all too obvious meaning.
