Whoever said that in this post was crazy. There's not one "good" person Dan hired there. They all would barely make it on air in market 80. I know talented people he turned down and passed over ... and he chose those people instead? That's one of the biggest problems. Everyone there looks like they just got out of college and this is their first job in tv. Clean house and start over. |

Invalid Inductive Argument
Tim Maestas is one of best writers I have had the pleasure of working with. Ask any photographer at KOIN which reporter they know will write to video and tell a story and Tim's name will be at the top of the list.
I was listening to an NPR report about school reforms in Chicago, a teacher pointed out that no matter the quality of reforms enacted by the school board/principle, they only work when fully supported and properly implemented by the teachers. KOIN sounds like Salamone wasn??t just battling KATU and KGW, but also his own staff.
Now KOIN can go back to the way things used to be, like in the good old days of ratings glory...wait a second was tat 15 or 20 years ago.
If dinosaurs don't evolve, they become extinct. I hope Sinclair Broadcasting buys KOIN. It??s a brave new world.
