Do not pull the plug yet!
I believe that if they could bring back Tony and Jane Robelot,spend as much money as they have lately on promotion ( they did not do that before ) and give them a good support staff, WGCL would be a contender in this market.
CBS wins everything on primetime!!! All you have to do is make sure that you get the retention factor up to speed!
Everybody loved Tony and, even after she was no longer on the air, we kept receiving counteless calls asking for Jane and demanding her back.
I was told that during one of the " focus groups" ( way
AFTER Jane was gone),where they mixed previous tapes with the current anchors, Tony and Jane scored 98% with the participants.
That should tell you something.
I am sure that they will not come back ( Tony is having a ball at CNN and Jane has a WorldWide show on Radio & TV with 600million+ viewers ).
This is just to expose the fact that not everybody that works at gchell is bad..the people " incharge" have no clue.
That was the problem then and it is the problem now.
So far, the May ratings are the worst ever.
I mean...EVER!
