Whoever said that in this post was crazy. There's not one "good" person Dan hired there. They all would barely make it on air in market 80. I know talented people he turned down and passed over ... and he chose those people instead? That's one of the biggest problems. Everyone there looks like they just got out of college and this is their first job in tv. Clean house and start over. |

Actually, Dan is the best news director I ever worked with. He knows a good story when you present it. He let me pursue investigative stories even in the face of people in our own newsroom who didn't want to rock the boat. The result was a service to the community and higher ratings. No one is perfect. But if there were more ND's like Dan local news wouldn't be in as much trouble as it is.
